A nesting butter dish and spreader set. I used to keep my butter on a plate atop my kitchen counter, with a sheet of tin foil over to keep it fresh. My own personal need for a butter dish was a driving force in this project. I had a habit of keeping a knife on the plate next to the butter and using it multiple times without washing it off in between. To allow this practice to carry on in a conscious way, I decided to create a housing in the lid of the dish itself where a spreader can be kept.
