Fashion is a concept with a limited time frame. Like all consumption, it will one day be severely limited as our environmental crisis culminates. This means a total overhaul of fashion as it exists today.
A range of standardized garments suitable for any person—regardless of age, gender identity or body type—would be vital to this reality. Utility, androgyny and minimalism reject the exorbitance of today’s apparel; recycled polymer buttons replace hardware and make pieces easily mendable. Made with sustainable fabrics, Utopia uses straight cuts and durable construction to reduce textile waste.
Universality is one of the hallmarks of this collection. The Idea that each piece could be sized using simple metrics and then comfortably worn by anyone was one of the driving factors behind how each piece was designed.
